BoxOffice 101

Re: BoxOffice 101

We did believe that which you've now posted based on what was announced ages ago, but it's not just the website section that's wrong then, it's your call centre staff as well which is where I got these latest "facts".

Regulars here keep trying to tell MC that things are not updated or communicated properly, and we are always later shown to be right - when will MC wake up to this and sort things out widely?? It's really a crisis now.

Thanks for your personal efforts.

BTW, I am however definitely right about the SD PVR (only) not having offered any of these services to those without Premium+PVR, but I doubt that could affect more than a handful of people in S.A. anymore and was always the case as it couldn't be changed anyway.

Re: BoxOffice 101

Hi @Optimist,

Sorry for the confusion. BoxOffice is now available on all DStv packages provided you have an active PVR decoder with PVR access. This means that regardless of the DStv  package that you are on, you will have access to BoxOffice on your PVR decoder. Our BoxOffice website is not updated. Thank you for bringing this to our attention. Our BoxOffice team is on it.

Re: BoxOffice 101

There's some additional decoder BO (Box Office) rules that haven't been explained, or are partially new and haven't been added here.

Either way the item I'll be discussing is too confusing. It's the same case again, as with too many of the little extra rules MC develop that tend to lead to making the use of these services a nightmare.

I hope the above comments will reach the right managers, white collar management seem to seldom understand the consequences of their modern adjustments.

Exceptions re PVR BO:

We heard some time back that BO is only available to Premium on the old SD PVR due to its technical age. Fair enough, and hardly used anymore.

What we never got told is that any other PVR, Exploras included, will only allow BO use for customers on the Compact package or higher.

Seems silly, especially given the fact that anyone, even non-subscribers, can get the service online.

But worst of all, you don't make anyone aware of this in any way MC.

So any attempt to register under these circumstances appears to work, and there's no "sorry you can't" message on these decoders.

With one exception I know of - the good old SD PVR does at least tell you with a very clear message.

I don't require feedback, not a personal concern.

Your all round service approach these days is truly disturbing MC. Hope you'll save yourselves, over and out.
