CU+ http 504 error

Red Carpet

Re: CU+ http 504 error

Those are very good results for the network! It clears for me anyway, as it was all those years ago the network aspects, leaving only the internal MC components of the service, exactly the same as we determined 5 years ago. ........

Re: CU+ http 504 error

Also cannot get rid of this error HTTP 504 and sometime 502. Crazy. Only let’s the download continue when I am in the download manager watching the download progress. Lol

Does not work when trying to watch. Really??

Re: CU+ http 504 error

Have you run a tracert and a ping to their servers by any chance?

Not that I can help but intrigued to see if the results are much different from the ones we ran 5 years ago.

Ha! A new symbol for blocked pitchas! Another benefit of the reward system? Is OP now in a different level to the rest of us who get triangles?Robot Embarassed

Re: CU+ http 504 error

This is my life now. Every second title that I try to download fails, HD and SD on two separate Exploras (1st gen and second gen).

Bandwidth 50Mbs+ connectivity checker is fine.

HTTP504 means server issues.

It's a good thing that I'm not paying R900 plus per month for this... oh wait, I am.

Yep, as we heard years ago, white collar even shoots down many of blue collar's basic sensible suggestions due to unreasonable greed... oops, let me re-phrase that... due to unreasonable financial pressures from the top.

The worst part is that management probably won't even see Geoff's feedback here, let alone the decision makers, so all the collapses we're witnessing of late are likely to continue.

IMO we're now wasting our time, generally speaking.

Re: CU+ http 504 error

The irony of all of this is, these errors and issues first highlighted by me years ago! NOTHING changed in all that time. Downloads failed then and now with the increased loads, the issue is just worse.

Unless someone in MC takes the trouble to investigate the entire infrastructure , they will not fix this problem. From how the servers are run, how CDN has been deployed, how traffic is routed, how the firewalls have been deployed and run etc.

MC is its own worst enemy.

Re: CU+ http 504 error

Last night was one of the worst nights I've seen, and only started coming right with the error part at about 22:45. Terrible service!!

But I'm hoping it's your contact's influence, that they're on to the issue and now working on it.

If not MC have a real crisis here.

Re: CU+ http 504 error

A Http 504 error is a gateway timeout error

Causes of 504 Gateway Timeout Errors

Most of the time, a 504 Gateway Timeout error means that whatever other server is taking so long that it's "timing out," is probably down or not working properly.

Since this error is usually a network error between servers on the internet or an issue with an actual server, the problem probably is not with your computer, device, or internet connection.
