CU+ http 504 error

Re: CU+ http 504 error

Feedback on my viewing last night.

All the series titles that I downloaded were successful, with no issues viewing them (save for a momentary pause during one episode of The Orville, which I'd attribute to the drive on the decoder, as I had paused playback for a few minutes).

Re: CU+ http 504 error

A slight update. I see that all the titles I had queued up appear to have downloaded. I will try viewing them this evening, and post any results.

@Optimist - thank you! I shall certainly give those a read! And thank you for the welcome (appears in my noitifications that I'm winning more badges and awards here than when I game online)

@krugie - I did that same, as part of the trouble shooting, and rebooted everything from decoder, to router, and server (which acts as DHCP for home and office). I also swapped between DNS servers (I use 1.1.1.1 with a fail over to Google, then my ISP, then my server). While I reckon a fix is certainly needed, some issues may arise between the decoder and the DStv servers.

For what it's worth, the DStv app has been working just great in the mean time, but not everything is mirrored between each delivery channel.

Although this was not the 504 error issue, but something equally annoying that pops up from time to time

Re: CU+ http 504 error

This evening none of my CU+ titles wanted to play - all gave an error that I am not connected to the Internet and need to run the Connectivity checker - which proved the opposite with speeds over 40Mbps. I switched off everything under Connected  Services, exited out, went back in and switched them all back on again - and all working now.

Re: CU+ http 504 error

Not sure if anything changed but watched a show with no issues last night and downloaded a bunch successfully overnight. Not getting too optimistic but that's the first time in weeks.

@andrewgerm, good to see you're here now :-)

To save you from repetition with the many things you'll find wrong with the forum, and knowing you, you will want to tackle, see the About The Community \ Guidelines section, in particular the long thread called Welcome to the Community!

Re: CU+ http 504 error

@Luke7777 Thanks for that!

The numbers were okay. I would have thought better though. With a few that timed out.

@ltshizane_DStv1 let me know if you need any trace number posted here. Or what other technical info (DNS, etc.)

@ltshizane_DStv1 any chance we could get a server name / IP to do a trace to, just to eliminate routing issues?

See the other 2 threads regarding buffering.... this one in particular..
