I have encountered the same problem since last week. I have changed from ADSL to fibre (Afrihost + SADV) and therefore also changed from a single ADSL router to a fibre modem + separate WiFi router (D-Link DIR825AC/G1).

 

I have attempted many things just to get Explora 2 Connection Checker to go OK on all features, including Remote Record. By forwarding the port 55555 on the remote IP address 197.80.203.24, I have managed to get OK status from Connection Checker on all connection features. I can set remote recording from my DSTV Now app. However, the confirmation message fails. Instead, I get Server Error. However, when I check on the decoder under Schedules, my remote recording is lined up in the schedule. Go figure. 

 

I have found the above port and IP address by inspecting the current connected devices on my WiFi router, under Statistics/Clients and Sessions. When one selects the DSTV client, it opens a windows that show the current remote connections of that client.

Is now more than 5 weeks that I haven't been able to do any RR.  I firmly believe that the "relevant team" does not exist and that MC is lacking the will to resolve what should be a fairly simple issue.

So my Remote (non)Recording issue has been back since mid Feb. Multiple interactions and escalations via Facebook and still no resolution or feedback... feedback which has been promised every time after escalations to the "relevant team" .  

 

If one "person" again asks me for a screenshot of my Connected Service...Cat Mad  I wish I can copy and paste my full FB chat here ....

Remote Recording

I am also having trouble to set a remote recording. On my app, the record button is there but when I try to record a program on my tv guide it gives me a "Server Error". Sometimes it gives me just a "500" error.

 

My Explora is connected to wifi at home and remote recording is activated.
