Re: Loss of Apps, Box Office, Catch Up

I think you need to give it more time. It takes quote a while for all titles to load - they are sent in cycles.

Octo-LNB to 24-1z/5.2 switches. Explora1 (Prim) & HDPVR 2P (Sec), Samsung 55" UA55F8500 Smart 3D LED TV, HDMI picture & audio via Onkyo TX-NR626
receiver. Explora 2 in bedroom, HDMI picture & audio to Samsung 32" UA32F5500 Smart LED TV. 100Mbps M-Web fibre (OpenServe).

Re: Loss of Apps, Box Office, Catch Up

I performed the format and it reported pass. It restarted and started acquiring titles but only up to last week and nothing newer. Tuner 3 is set to 11634 Horizontal. To give you an indication..carte blanche on CU only shows episode 23 from the 9th of Sept. And last sundays episode 8s nowhere to be seen.

Re: Loss of Apps, Box Office, Catch Up

Sorry to say it, but given the lack of MC performance to date I don't see that happening and quite honestly I doubt many Forumites care anymore.

About the only reason I still hang around is for a bit of info, and the socialising factor, both weak due to the mostly MC generated lack of interest.

Yes that is what would make sense. But to do that, someone must create a sticky.

If this is indeed supposed to be a customer self help community, then that is what is urgently required.

The formatting procedure will wipe off all partitions regardless.  So everything will be lost including recordings.  The procedure you're referring to (0110) is just a reset to factory defaults only.  This only works on Explora 2 as Explora 1 loader doesn’t support it. (Surely there is a similar code for the Explora 1 available?)

Tuner 3 may be locked, but I have a feeling it’s locked to incorrect TS which is 10970 thus it won't download any titles. (Is this a proven case that caused so many to lose their CU and BO titles?)

To recover one decoder here we just performed reset to factory defaults only and the decoder recovered.

Explora 1 will lock to 11634 (H) for premium and 11674 (V) for compact. (11634 (V) is used by the SD PVR).
Explora 2 will lock to 11768 (V).

Can you please confirm tuner 3 frequency under Tuner Status.  Also, confirm if you have any "Additional Network" enabled under Settings -> Satellite Settings?

Can you also try (0110) if you have Explora 2 for reset to factory defaults OR reset to factory defaults on UI if you have Explora 1 and check the frequency under tuner 3 if it’s correct?

Note as well for interest sake, All the older PVRs (HD PVR 2U,2P,4U,4P) use 11010 (V) for CU, BO and other downloads.

It might be very interesting if anyone who finds that all CU, BO downloads have been lost could check what transponder Tuner 3 is locked onto when these mysterious losses occur.

Re: Loss of Apps, Box Office, Catch Up

The Mods here would need to consult others for that level of knowledge, but I can tell you that it will be different functionality as there's other codes that do completely different things as well.

Re: Loss of Apps, Box Office, Catch Up

Is 0110 different from 0101? I know 0101 does a full reformat which completely recovers the unit however all recordings are lost. Is 0110 only a catchup and box office partition format?

Re: Loss of Apps, Box Office, Catch Up

Great suggestion @GeoffD, NoFear please write down all the settings. This include Xtraview settings if you have it.
