Re: No communication from Primary Decoder E143-0

It is a fallacy to write off this error as ONLY caused by a cabling issue, although the cabling has to be correct also. IF the setup is incorrect at MC, the same error message is generated.

In my personal case, the decoders are right next to each other connected by a short HB cable with no intermediate connections at all. It took MC 2 weeks before they discovered the incorrect XV set up in their database.

Re: No communication from Primary Decoder E143-0

When you phone in to MC, ask for an XV specialist. Then you need to explain what you are trying to do.

MC  need to completely break all links between your two decoders and the older PVR.

After that make sure your Explora and Explora 3  are correctly paired as Primary and Secondary decoders under XV, but only after the PVR is definitely on a separate account, working and not showing that it is paired to any of your other two decoders.

The PVR must say "ready and inactive"  under its XV  setting screen and no reference to any of your two decoders. Your two decoders must not show any reference to the PVR.

Re: No communication from Primary Decoder E143-0

Because PVR is used by my parents and we not staying at the same place. Explore 1 and explore 3 are in the same house. What should I do to remove this error message?

Re: No communication from Primary Decoder E143-0

Why would you want a stand alone account for your PVR?

Both decoders are PVRs, and if connected as primary and secondary under XV, they by default would be on one account anyway?

The only time you can separate them is IF  The XV  combination is broken and both become individual stand alone decoders, which means each decoder must say for XV "ready but inactive" .

This is not a task a normal operator ever gets right and requires the intervention of an XV specialist.

Re: No communication from Primary Decoder E143-0

Same problem. Started last week after making my other decoder a stand alone account. Explorer 1 is my primary decoder and explorer 3 is my secondary decoder. It was playing well all this time up until I called to make a new account for PVR. It’s been a week I’ve been calling but the error message is not going any where I am using a smart LNB. Your help will be highly appreciated. Thank you
