Good to see reasonable consideration prevailing, thanks Thoko & co.Cool.jpg

Sure thing @krugie, we'll be sure to let you know what their feedback is.

Two more months without a response people... please carry through on your offers to help here, people expect that and this forum can't help us and you if it isn't reliable.

Maybe @TebogoM_DStv1  and @Grace_DStv1  can try add their efforts?

Many thanks

Here's another example - this Explora isn't always being used for a higher package, and before upgrading at times, the person wants to examine higher-package channels' content but the searches don't allow for more of that (and presumably the "Other Airings" feature doesn't either).

Now there's the added problem of no further magazine type guidance, not physical or online now!

And of course the online guide itself doesn't work right in some respects, not that it gives much of a future glimpse compared anyway.

As you can see MC, all these things have a negative group-type effect as well so do more damage than even imagined. You can't just change what people use and rely on.

@Julia_DStv1 - can you also please advise what their feedback is? Many people have been asking for this for ages and every time we are just informed that it was passed on to the developers. We have no idea whether the change is going to be made or even considered or whether we should continue asking or what goes for what. This is not just a nice-to-have - it is a feature desperately required.

Re: Searching using own channel group

Another reason why you MUST also allow users to search via their own channel groups, or the All Channels option;

This example is a factual one.

Person involved has an Explora which isn't being used for the main Premium access - it is based elsewhere and will usually be on EasyView with no PVR access.

This Explora is also used for some planning for the Premium access elsewhere, yet the search function doesn't work at all for higher-package channels, it gives no results !

And no, the online guide is less reliable so not an option !

Additionally, it's now been discovered that the "Other Airings" searching function doesn't work on the EPG etc. for any channels not included in the My Channels grouping !

This is poor planning and highly impractical MC, kindly put back the basic, instinctively expected tools that were removed !!

After many months of this missing, I don't think you'll find anyone "getting used to it".

@Grace_DStv1  , please could you ensure this and other related posts reaches both the business division management and the Explora software development team. Many thanks.

Re: Searching using own channel group

The thing is, is MC really willing to hear our sensible requests??

Look at the poor performance online guide along with its excuse for a search engine for instance... how many years and it's still extremely full of...

[insert pic of smelly brown stuff here]

Sad.
