Re: E30 error code wont clear

How is the decoder connected? What LNB are you using and what LNB mode have you selected?

Also check that the Lo setting is set for the LNB you have. i.e. if the LNB Lo is 10700, then the decoder must also be set for 10700.

Next, is the SC an old SC?

Lastly, If the decoder has been off for a long time, it can take up to 4 days to recover.

Are you at least seeing ch 100?

Re: E30 error code wont clear

thanks Geoff I m viewing channel 100 and its a single unit installation, using a single universal LNB but however th LNB lo setting is not corresponding with setting on the decoder, I Will resolve it  and do you mean I should keep th decoder continually plugged for th next four days??

Yes, match the lo setting with the lnb and do not switch off or even put into stby until the decoder fully recovers.

For the record, E30 is well known for the hiccups it can cause or add to, especially with long power off periods. It's further complicated by our pet hate, namely E32, which has never been done properly and is currently doing its harmful rounds yet again...

If still struggling you can use self service to cycle through the following 4 error clearance codes a couple of times, order probably not important - E16, E18 (if not available E19 may help), E30, E32. Allow up to a couple of hours to take full effect, then hop through a few channels other than 100.

Last options - ask for a specialist at the call centre and have them do a "special reauth" which incorporates the above, else you'll have to take it in to a main branch.

Thanks Optimist. Was hoping you would also step in. Decoders that are off for a while, seem to ahve to cycle through a whole lot steps, as though they have to "catch up" with various service authentication changes made while the decoder was off.

The same seems to happen when you clone a SC as I have just gone through.
