Hi @ifefiden, @krugie and @Optimist are spot on, please go to https://bit.ly/2A4K6jk for DStv Nigeria contact details.
I think you replied to Krugie before seeing my reply.
Although I agreed a bit with what you now posted, you must understand that different things are done with the control of subscription in different countries due to how much piracy and other things goes on so it may look the same but is not always.
We were told that MultiChoice South Africa are a different company to MultiChoice Africa, they only share the same material. They cannot access each other's control systems. even the satellites used are different.
Good luck :-)
I don't mind getting to know one of the differences pls, or is it not same Multichoice services? Except the policies are different.
I don't completely think so because the system is same and ideas employed on a particular error situation can be a clue to how it can be looked at elsewhere since it is same multichoice system though country may differ. E30-4 DStv error in Nigeria is same in SA and might just require similar approach in handling.
@krugie is correct, there are too many differences between your service there and ours for you to get any help here most of the time.
But as you can see in this thread, it is an error known here as well, perhaps behaving similar enough. So I believe your best next plan is to take the decoder in to your closest Multichoice Africa service centre. I won't help more, sorry.

As far as I am aware this Community is only monitored by South Africans for South African subscribers - in which case they will not be able to assist you.

Thanks Optimist. Was hoping you would also step in. Decoders that are off for a while, seem to ahve to cycle through a whole lot steps, as though they have to "catch up" with various service authentication changes made while the decoder was off.
The same seems to happen when you clone a SC as I have just gone through.

For the record, E30 is well known for the hiccups it can cause or add to, especially with long power off periods. It's further complicated by our pet hate, namely E32, which has never been done properly and is currently doing its harmful rounds yet again...

If still struggling you can use self service to cycle through the following 4 error clearance codes a couple of times, order probably not important - E16, E18 (if not available E19 may help), E30, E32. Allow up to a couple of hours to take full effect, then hop through a few channels other than 100.
Last options - ask for a specialist at the call centre and have them do a "special reauth" which incorporates the above, else you'll have to take it in to a main branch.
Yes, match the lo setting with the lnb and do not switch off or even put into stby until the decoder fully recovers.
