My DSTV decorder has also been recording incomplete shows since the second half of 2018. I can’t help but think Multichoice is trying to force its subscribers to upgrade their decorders by introducing these bugs and small glitches into older models.
No there are a few reports of this happening after the so called maintenance reboots. Is there another decoder connected to the same LNB?

A program that was set on the recording schedule from the tv program guide on my Explora a few days before didn't record properly. The program was set to record for the full hour but it automatically stopped recording after 34 minutes & when I checked the playlist there was no ! mark next to the affected video. It looked like a complete video.I've had this problem before but that was about a years ago with another Explora. With my new Explora that was set up a year ago I'm surprised to see this happen again.I've never had any recording issues with my new Explora since then until now.A program that was set to record a movie that for example that was 100 minutes long would record for 60 minutes & show up as complete.Normally due to signal interferrence from bad weather outside or one manually stopping a video during recording would show in the playlist as incomplete with the ! mark next to the video.Could this be as a result of my decoder becoming faulty after one year of usage or is it an installation problem.
