That would "fix" it, but such simple programming needs to be properly sorted out for all usage, especially default settings, else it all adds up to the disaster we see here with the many reported bugs.

There is some sorting option where you can select in what order threads must be shown - oldest or newest first. This then changes the page order/numbering as well.

It's correct in Threads.

Threads start on page 1 and move on to page 2, then page 3 etc.

Section pages are always currently on page 1 with older pages on higher ever increasing numbers.

 

Missing something like this is very low on the professional programming (coding) score card... :-/

Since we still can't post photos (AFTER MONTHS!!), I'll instead type what the problem is about in this thread;

 

<    Previous         1         2         3      …        84        Next    >

 

The above example's labels "Previous" and "Next" are the wrong way around - latest page is always marked page 1, so any previous pages would be page 2 onwards.

 

It's incorrect in most cases on this forum, but there was one exception where it is correct - can't think where now.

Noticed long ago, but only felt like bothering to report it now, since MC are so disinterested in prompt attention here...
