Thanks Geoff. What about the MS 2x4? Do I still need it?

Re: Connecting HDPVR 2P on SLNB

Yes, you will need an HB cable, because the 2Ps are not designed to accept HB via the SLNB cabling.

You could try and use 2 diplexers one behind each 2P, but the added loss might just be enough to break the system.

Leave the old HB cable in place in case if you do decide to experiment.

Make sure the UBs and frequencies do not clash between the two 2Ps. One could be left on default and the other changed. Leave the primary on defaults.

Suggest you try and get an LMX 501 in preference to the 502.

Connecting HDPVR 2P on SLNB

Hello guys,

I was planning to add Exploras in my viewings but I decided to stick with my HDPVR 2Ps. The reason being that: I'm not happy with the Exploras TV Guide.

Now the issue with 2Ps is that they are losing channels (2 tv channels and 20 audio channels). So I want to replace my Twin LNB with a SLNB.

The question is: will I still need a HB cable between the decoders, i.e. RF In and RF Out? Is the MS 2x4 still needed?

What will be the connection be like?
