How do I connect two 5-3 switches

Re: How do I connect two 5-3 switches

The so-called 5-3 switch is a 24-1Z switch.

This new name is just Bullschit.

The switches must be cascaded exactly 1-1 in a straight line. All four connections for full functionality.

What is much more important is that the first switch MUST be connected to the correct LNB ports and all 4 MUST be connected to the LNB. IF the LNB is a Universal Quad LNB, the order does not matter, BUT if it is a Quattro LNB then the connections MUST match the LNB.

The switch does not determine the UB settings on the decoder at all.

The decoder must be set up and the settings saved and checked by rebooting the decoder to verify if the settings are correct.
