Carte Blanche back to their 5 minute irritation

Moderator

Re: Carte Blanche back to their 5 minute irritation

Hi @krugie, please see the below feedback.

Kindly note that the Dancing with the Stars Results Show was a local and a live show that is why it started at 20:00. Before the Dancing with the Starts Results show started the movie had always been scheduled at 20:05. There are commercials/sponsors scheduled just before the movie starts that is why it starts at 20:05. Perhaps it would be best if you looked at solving the conflict by recording the additional airing for Carte Blanche - Mondays at 12:30 or Thursdays at 13:30.  You can also find the movie and Carte Blanche on Catch Up.

We apologise for the inconvenience @krugie, we'll ask the EPG team to have a look at the matter.

It is for the folks without PVR Smiley Happy  In that extra 5 minutes you can jump from the couch, get your tea and sarmie and jump into bed just in time for the movie.

@krugie, we've just checked the TV guide and you're correct. It is written 19:00 to 20:05, we've asked the EPG team to change the time to 19:00 to 20:00.

Re: Carte Blanche back to their 5 minute irritation

Thanks @Kagiso_DStv1 but the EPG this past Sunday - and again for this coming Sunday if you go and have a look - has the show scheduled from 19H00 to 20H05. That is what is causing the conflicts with recordings and the related problems.

Re: Carte Blanche back to their 5 minute irritation

Thanks @Kagiso_DStv1 - I don't think its an EPG error - that is the way show is scheduled and has been for a long time but is causes a lot of  problems to subscribers as it then goes into conflict with shows on other channels that start at 20H00. They need to re-think the scheduling and we have asked for it to be chnaged for a long time.

Carte Blanche back to their 5 minute irritation

So last night Carte Blanche was back to their previously discussed irritation/bad old habit of the show ending at 20H05 (instead of 20H00) - causing havoc with conflicts. And the same is scheduled for next week. All worked fine while Strictly Come Dancing's result show aired at 20H00 - and for a week or two after that - so it CAN be done but no - someone somewhere does not comprehend the principle or advantages of having the show end on the hour.

I now have 2 conflicts at 20h00 (where there should be only 1) and both their repeats are also in conflict.

For a local award-winning production with total control over the content I honestly expect more.
