It has been years since any of us with this model decoder have seen updates to the software being done!
Those with these decoders reported plenty of issues over the last few days, but now, the decoders are far more stable than they have been for many many months.
A change of heart MC? What prompted MC to decide that it has to look after customers with these older decoders?
Threatened legal action? The realisation that it is not good business practice to annoy the customer base?
But on behalf of those with working SD PVRs thank you very much.
(Of course, none of this reflects as a formal new sw release, just a hidden update).
Interestingly, these decoders are more than capable of detecting when new hi-band transponders come on the air, even if the channels can't be decoded unless the DVB-S standard is used.
