Not that I am watching this, but surely if the supplier supplied a file with a technical error then that broadcast can't count as one of their permitted runs? Either it is just the SABC being... well, the SABC... not wanting or caring to assist - or they are just covering up their own mistake with lies.

Have to agree, very fishy indeed.

Hi All, please see below response:

"There was a technical error with the file that the channel received from the supplier. The channel rebroadcast the correct episode file the next day. However, as they have limited number of runs permitted in their contract with the supplier – they will not be able to repeat the episode again."

Thank you for the feedback, but very disappointing. Can't understand why the corrected episode was screened randomly instead on in the repeat slot. Given the problem, I almost deleted my (thus far unwatched) recording, to record the repeat.

And apparently, for the 3rd series in a row, SABC3 screwed up the airing of episode 1. The entire immunity challenged was cut out and they went directly to tribal council - and then played music videos for the remainder of the time.

MC, have you queried this with SABC3? Will the repeat play out correctly?
