M-Net 101 and M-Net City line-up for March 2019 - Changes




M-Net Schedule Updates:

New Updates:

  • Last Week Tonight with John Oliver (season 6 episode 6) will be on a one week production break on Sunday 31 March. New episodes will return on Sunday 7 April in it’s regular slot after the Sunday Night Movie. The series will be replaced by an episode of Vice season 6.


  • The World Cinema movie line-up has changed for the rest of March, and will now air as below:

M-Net City Schedule Updates:

  • Leaving Neverland has been added to the M-Net City schedule and the 2-part doccie will air on Saturday 30 March at 21:40 (Part 1) and Sunday 31 March at 21:40 (Part 2)
  • Please note that to accommodate Leaving Neverland, the below series will be on a broadcast break for one week:

Saturday Movies

The mind plays tricks on Claire Foy in the unsettling horror Unsane, while Nicolas Cage is a cop on a mission in 211. And speaking of veteran action heroes Bruce Willis looks to avenge his family in Death Wish and then a terrifying band of psychos stalk an unassuming family  in The Strangers: Prey at Night. Rounding up the Saturday lineup is Marrowbone – gothic horror involving four siblings.

Disturbing supernatural horror. Four siblings seek refuge in an old mansion after the death of their mother, only to discover that it’s home to a sinister inhabitant.


Sunday Night Blockbusters

The Sunday Night Blockbusters kick off with the heist drama Den of Thieves, and Ryan Reynolds dons the tight red suit for Deadpool 2. Then, Dwayne Johnson uses his muscle-bod to save the day in Skyscraper and in Marvel’s superhero escapade Ant-Man and the Wasp we find that saving the day requires a little help.

We finish off March with the ABBA-inspired Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again! a musical, a drama, a comedy and a smashing good time.

Returning Favourites

The charismatic Bull returns to our screens this month, as does the excellent JK Simmons in season 2 of the intriguing sci-fi drama Counterpart. The silly gang ofIt’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia are up to the same hijinks in season 13, and a new round of Family Food Fight starts on M-Net in March.

The hilarious antics of the Bluths unfold in season 5 of the acclaimed Arrested Development. This month also welcomes the new season of the popular teen drama Riverdale, and the family comedy American Housewife introduces us to a new season of challenges for an unapologetic mom in a suburban world.

new season of undercover investigative drama NCIS: Los Angeles starts in February and The Late Late Show with James Corden returns for more fun after its production break.

Season and Series Finales

We say goodbye to the mystery of Manifest- have any of our questions really been answered? The escapades of the Gallaghers – and Emmy Rossum’s stint onShameless– come to an end this month. The historical period drama The Last Kingdom finishes off with a battle, as does the Italian crime drama Gomorrah.True Detective closes the case with a simmering finale and we say a temporary goodbye to the gang of A Million Little Things as season 1 ends.

M-Net City Movies

The thrilling reboot of The Three Musketeers is sure to brighten up your Friday evening, as will the captivating sci-fi spectacular Ender’s Game. Idris Elba and Richard Madden are unlikely partners in the action-packed Bastille Day, and speaking of action, Jason Statham is a bit of a Wild Card when he plays a bodyguard. A bank robbery leads to quite the investigation in Marauders on City this month.

Brand New to M-Net City

Premiering on M-Net City this month is Legacies – set in the popular The Vampire Diaries and The Originals universe. The thrilling origins of Superman are explored in Krypton and in other superhero news: Marvel’s Cloak & Dagger tells the interesting story of two young teenagers who unknowingly gain superpowers. Still in the world of fantasy is Stan Lee’s Lucky Man, season 3 sees the show’s protagonist in quite a bit of trouble.

The much-anticipated Vikings makes its way to M-Net City this month and the Brit drama Trauma follows the harrowing story of man in search of answers after the loss of his child.

Season & Series Finales

Destruction and mayhem ensue in the season 4 finale of Gotham, while America’s Madam Secretary must deal with another crisis in the last episode of this political drama. The thrilling conclusion of Trauma will hopefully bring viewers some closure, as will the season finale of The Sinner. The psychological cyber-thriller Mr Robot raises more questions in the season finale, but Stan Lee’s Lucky Man concludes with a massive face-off.
