Thanks for your effort @Grace_DStv1 , but as very usual there is a break down in communication with this group of companies - if they had examined the programs' synopses I believe they would have likely understood.
So let's try again, please would Showmax take careful note of the following;
As per Showmax Content team's feedback, all shows on the platform are advertised in English...
Not really about that, and my mistake for not being clearer as the word "advertised" was not the best choice.
What I'm saying is that in both cases the synopses clearly state in their categorising at the top (after it describes the Genre) that the program's Language itself is in... English. This is false information.
Interestingly, on their website they do at least state "Audio: Afrikaans".
So why does their left hand not know what their right hand is doing??
What language they're wording the synopses in is less of a concern, it's at least not misleading.
@Optimist, we've received a response from Showmax. Kindly see below:-
As per Showmax Content team's feedback, all shows on the platform are advertised in English as well as all synopsis is written only in English. Only legacy shows might have a different language synopsis.
At the moment the DStv Explora decoder does not support Recently Watched, Resume play and Subtitles options for the Showmax app. Subtitles are encoded into the shows from Studios.
Please pass on to Showmax that their two recently released stand up comedy movies called "Radio Raps Live" are both advertised as being in English and are not. They also have English synopses.
It's actually done by Afrikaans comedians, and there's no burned-in or optional English subtitles either, at least not on the Explora connected access.
Please do things properly.
