Noted, perhaps our initial response should have been "we do not have the broadcast rights at this stage", your frustration is understood though.~
Thanks Itshizane_DStv1 this really is very good news. I'm sure that I DID read somewhere that you had lost the rights to one of the local competitors and this is what got me started. However, to say that I am pleased that you now have the rights to show this competition, is putting it mildly. Thanks a lot.
To ALL at Supersport I think an apology from myself is required so kindly accept this as an apology for making comments when perhaps all the facts weren't available. However, in order to avoid any further comments similar to this in future, isn't there perhaps a better way of dealing with this type of query? Nothing has been finalised, negotiations are ongoing or SOMETHING?
In another post Supersport has posted that they do not have the rights to the FA Cup. That post was then marked as "Problem Solved". I posted the following there but in case nobody looks at that post, which has the same heading as this one, I post below what I posted there.
"What a shambles Supersport has become. The MAJOR footballing cup event in the world as far as most here are concerned, apart maybe from the Champions League, and Supersport get outbid by some petty little competitor. Or at least that's what I think has happened. Disgraceful, disgusting and most MOST disappointing. Please don't come and tell us that in it's place you have obtained Serie A football as this is merely a substitute to try and pacify the footballing supporters in this country.
May I ask, suppose I can but won't receive an answer, for how long the competitors have the rights to this competition? Also what about the other cup competition played for by the EPL and lower English league sides? Have you failed to get that one as well?
Words fail me in trying to express my disappointment. Just wait until the FA Cup competition comes around and this becomes common knowledge amongst your subscribers. Prepare yourselves for much warranted abuse."
