Cut the power for a minute or more. Reboot the decoder. If error returns, it is a trip to MC.

If a power off for a few minutes doesn't change much then it's very unlikely that you can fix it, then you'll have to take it in (agencies not recommended).
They can transfer content to a new Explora, but that could delay your usage.
