Are there manufacturer's names for the Explora 1 and Explora 2a?
I need these for programming my Harmony remote.

Looks like there is, the Pace label on my Explora 1's box says; "MODEL No: DPS5001MC", which I would think may be abbreviated to "DPS 5001".

I'm sure the Mods will post if incorrect.

Here's most of an answer, and somewhat confirms model 1 as well.

(Various pics and quotes posted re "OK Furniture" special)

So then the 2a is presumed to be the DPS 5100.

The model number on my Explora 2A box is PS5100IMC and it Manufactured by Arris

Thanks guys. Using all the numbers and manufactures you supplied (DSTV, Multichoice and Arris),I can find the Explora 1 but not the Explora 2a on the Logitech Harmony website. Lets see if MC comes back with any different names.

Logitech may have just not updated their info yet, the 2a is still relatively new. It may be worth sending them a heads-up / enquiry.

As a side note, I've been wondering why the 2a's code ends with "IMC" - my guess is that the "I" could be for "International", as in being a model which is sold to other countries in Africa as well? That may mean that our version of the Explora 1 is only for local and maybe neighbouring countries.
Wouldn't be a first, for instance the African SD PVR is quite different from the S.A. model.
But I may be reaching too far in my guesswork here..<roll eyes>

BTW, have you tried the model 1's code for operating the 2a yet? It surely must work with it as well as the A6 can be used for the 2a, you'll just be short of the few new buttons for now.

I have tried installing as Explora and Explora 2 but the remote only recognises the Explora.I have sent an email to Logitech for their comments.

Maybe related to the remote modes being used, but I've no idea how one would alter a mode setting on a Universal remote.
