Re: Remote sending double commands

The other issue is reflected IR signals from mirrors or other surfaces, which is more difficult to find.

The remotes only do this iF the keypad underneath the buttons on the remote are dirty. Soaking the remote in beer or randy has this as a side effect .....heh heh.

The other more common issue, is when there are two decoders in the same room both set to respond to the same mode. This happens when MC fiddles with sw or does updates and resets the remote response to defaults on decoders, which on the Exploras is to respond to all 3 modes.. if the decoders are then in an XV combination, both decoders will receive a command and send them to the decoder in question = double commands, one via the FP IR on the decoder anoe via a relayed command from the other decoder.

I hope my dentist keeps his remotes clean Smiley Very Happy    Was thinking that it had to do with the relaying, but since I don't know whether he's running Xview.. couldn't think of something else.

Remote sending double commands

Know it was covered extensively on the previous forum, but obviously that's not an option. Have a friend who's remote "all of a sudden" sends out double commands. Don't know which decoder or what his setup is (xtraview, etc)  . Can't remember the fix for this issue
